New owner book recommendations?

I'm going to be adopting a two year old mix, and I was wondering if there were any new owner books that people found helpful and recommended? Thank you!

Congrats on your new dog!

I think Alexandra Horowitz's books are a wonderful way to understand the world as your dog experiences it:

I don't believe she writes how tos or primers. But I know that reading Inside of a Dog helped me see my relationship with my dog differently - to help me understand what he is seeing, smelling, hearing, and experiencing, so I can make his life as fun and fulfilling for him as I could.

Like her book give me the idea of going for "sniffing walks" with him - where he can pick the route we take, and I don't get impatient with him when he wants to stop every few feet to smell things. That's a really important part of his experience in the world, getting to do that, and I think me being sensitive to what he wants and needs helps us both.

As a gift someone gave me a book about having a dog in the city, and it was great.
