I have two girls aged 10 and 13. We don't carpool that much, and even when we did I only had 1-2 extra people and my oldest can sit in the front seat.
I'm coming from an old minivan, but I'm really trying to decide if I need a third row or not. Does anyone have the XC60 with two kids? My husband drives a sedan so this would be our travel car, etc. |
I'm looking at it as well, also the BMW X3 and Audi Q5. So far the Volvo looks a little more expensive than the X3 and Q5. I haven't test driven the Volvo yet.
It felt really cramped, and the trunk space is extremely small. Going to look at Q5 and X3 next.
I have had one for several years & got it when I had twins. It's definitely been big enough to get us through and I wouldn't want a bigger car, but that's personal preference. The only issue is that on the rare occasion we have one too many suitcases, it's tough to get them all inside the back. Otherwise, it's been a good car. The back seat is big enough for three people (or two carseats and a smaller sized person).

Q5 and X3 hav bigger trunk space with the X3 being the biggest I mean. I think their interior seating space is almost identical when I researched but can't remember if they feel different.

It's good as a second car. So you're saying your husband's car is the travel car or the Volvo would be the travel car?
If your husband's car is the travel car you're fine, but unless you don't plan on carrying anything when you travel the X60 doesn't really work for a family of 4 for that. |
I think it’s a bit small for a family of 4 for road trips.
MIL has it. Seems very cheap to me. Get the T6 if you do.
I also think it’s a bit small for 4 plus luggage.
we have it and love it. 2 kids 11, 13 and small dog. not small for us but we have always had sedans.
But do you have a second car or is this your only car?
