ECNL Rosters

Have any clubs set rosters yet or sent out formal invited that need to be accepted?

It seems like there are still informal tryouts going on at regular practices.

There were posts about a May 1 date for ECNL but I could not find anything formal.

I was always told formal offers can't go out until May 1st but communication from McLean said they will start late April and they will roll through May 21st which is insane

The May 1 date comes from the competition rulebook that says no club can recruit players from another until May 1.

The May 1 date comes from the competition rulebook that says no club can recruit players from another until May 1.

Accurate. Girls on our team get offer letters 24 April. Outside team players get theirs 1 May.

Offers are already going out to current players. Not only that, they want money too, at least the initial deposit.

Our club announced that ECNL prohibits offers prior to May... it sure if that is accurate or not but that is what was said.

ECNL Teams can have open tryouts/ID Sessions with any players before May 1st as long as they are not members of an ECNL Club.

ECNL players have to wait until May 1st to try out at other ECNL clubs.

Offers can be given to non ECNL players before May 1st but that is very rare unless it is an excellent player.

Hopefully that clears this topic up.

^^^They absolutely do know if you are coming from another ECNL club and will prohibit you from trying out until May 1. It’s strange clubs are doing ID sessions in April as they are missing those ECNL players possibly trying to change clubs. McLean used to always have their tryouts beginning May 1 for that reason.

Arlington ID sessions are almost over. Mclean ID sessions for several age groups are over. Bethesda ID will be next week.

Bethesda is starting ID sessions May 3-makes much more sense!
