Good but reasonably-priced highlights?

I'm no longer able to justify what I've been paying to highlight my hair with the woman who cuts it (who I love). It's worth it to me to keep using her for the cut, but I need to find a less expensive highlighting option. I'm right at the DC/MD line near Friendship Heights - would really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks.

I hated paying that much so I dropped back to 2x/year. That I can do without too much guilt.

I have been going to Bubbles in Montgomery Mall for highlight. Get lots of compliments. The place is small and not much ambiance but the staff is skilled. Highlights run about $120

I go to Melissa at Piaf Salon in downtown DC. I recently got a root touch up, a few highlights and a cut/blow for $115 total. She does a great job.
