| It’s been impossible to find her shoes that fit lately. They are either too tight/narrow or too ‘old’ looking since she wears a size 7.5 so she needs women’s wide shoes. Any ideas? |
| Nordstrom has the best selection of wide shoes. When you are comfortable shopping in person, they also have great salespeople. |
| Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack. |
| What kind of shoes? Sneakers? Flats? Boots? |
They used to, but not anymore. Nordstrom stopped catering to non standard sizes a while ago. Go to Zappos and DSW. You’ll have to filter through the brands carefully and hope to get lucky. It’s sucks. Ask me how I know... |

Athletic: New Balance, Hoka, Brooks
Sandals: Birkenstock, Sam Edelman Casuals: Adidas Superstar, Sam Edelman flats, Converse (usually), Dr. Martens, Dr. Scholl's, Minnetonka Fancy: Ferragamo, Eileen Fisher (although sale priced shoes are a steal) |
I wear a 10 wide and had a terrible time finding shoes until buying online became popular. DSW doesn’t carry a lot of wides. Go right to Zappos. You can filter and find lots of options in any size. I wish I had that as a teen. |
You can filter by W or D on Zappos. You don’t have to go by brand. |
| Second Zappos as a 6.5 W often WW. Great search features. Fast shipping, free returns. The reviews are great to find out how wide the wide really is and other details about fit. Once you find the brand(s) that fit you can price on Amazon, too. |
| Thanks all! Except that one weirdo of course. |
| In case it makes you feel better, my 12 yo DD is a 12W. |
I meant to specify DSW.com. They have a lot of wides. |

This company makes wide shoes for adults and kids. They are pricy but high quality.

| How wide OP? My 13 yr old DD wears a 2E (sometimes a 4E depending on the shoe). For sneakers she wears mostly new balance and Brooks. Brooks don’t run quite as wide as the new balance do though. For regular shoes she wears a lot of the Propet brand. They specialize in wide widths and have a lot of very trendy styles. Torrid (women’s clothing store) also carries shoes that run double wide. They are fairly cheap, so not real leather, but extremely trendy. We have had luck ordering off Amazon, Zappos, and Propet has their own website. |
Immediate PP again. Propet’s trendy styles are mostly in sneakers and casual active shoes and boots (you have to look past the more orthopedic looking shoes on the site ). While their sandals are nice, most teens will think that they are too old. My DD prefers sandals from torrid. |
