I need to replace a furnace and ac. I called costco and the vendor associated with them was super expensive (more than double of one estimate). Please recommend some companies to use.
I am looking for a 70000 BTU and a 2 ton AC. |

Atlantic Coastal did a great job for us and they were very patient. They were here for about three months off an on redoing all the duct work and repairing our unit.
I had several of the employees (and owner) here throughout the project and I was impressed with all of them. I felt like the price was also very reasonable for the amount of work they did. |
| We used Davis and Davis just before the start of the pandemic and they did a great job. |
| We were very pleased with Richards. |

If you're in VA, Brennans has always been great for me. Honest with good pricing.
They even did a ductwork job that nobody else would do reasonably or at all. |

| A Advantage. We have used them for years and they are great. |
| I would spend $25 for access to checkbook.org— much better to get the benefit of hundreds of reviews than 3 anonymous people on DCUM |

Snell. We had an emergency install when our 25 year + HVAC system died during an August heat wave!
Very easy to work with - great experience and now use them for HVAC. |
They have good ratings. Thanks. |

Costco program is actually pretty good. In dc area the fh furr is the installer and you get 15% back on the Lennox systems.
While snell is probably the best, they are more expensive than anyone. So a 16k system like you are looking at with snell would be about 12k with Costco installed. Plus you get 10 years parts and labor on everything, 2 year return or replace policy. Sure you get a 2000 Costco gift card and not cash but that is still usable. If you get any reputable company they are all going to be in that 12 range without the Costco back up/customer service. |
GAC is good but they are EXPENSIVE |
A friend given a 15k estimate by FH Fur (representing Costco - through Costco). Then got another estimate for the exact same unit half price. Others I know had the same experience. Shop around, otherwise overpaying by thousands, thinking it is Costco price - which it is not. |
Anyone used Germantown heating and Air conditioning? Confusing GAC with them as both in Germantown. |
