That seems like a crazy way to waste money at your HHI/NW.

Bought a Mercedes E-Class wagon (certified used). HHI is about $550,000. Our net worth is probably about $1 million (we are in our mid-30s and just recently paid off student loans, etc.).

I bought a $50K car on $160K HHI and paid cash (no family money or gifts). We could comfortably afford it so why not? Our next one we'll do the same.

And to further answer your question, I buy. The X7 is new. I bought it after owning my X5 after 12 years. I like to buy and hold for a long time.
