Do any clubs offer sessions to High school players or do they all completely shut down during the spring
|
Club team always takes priority . Especially with better players. |
| yes lot of them do. are you looking for boys or girls teams and in what area? |
| Many clubs reduce training to once a week for the all-powerful HS soccer |
|
The nutty soccer parents will say club is the highest priority in yourk8ds life butyhe kids love playing in front of their fellow students wearing their school colors.
|
Lol. That’s not the question |
|
Lol. GA parents rather drive to Philly and beat a trash team 10-0 rather than their child play HS. Talk about egotistical.
|
Why would they shut down? Games and tournaments are still happening. Maybe clarify your question??? |
| You can always watch your kid play HS and see a terrible version of the beautiful game and possibly get injured play with and a bunch of hacks. |
I think the OP's question is how does Club soccer work when High School soccer starts - can a kid do both? are club coaches or high school coaches sympathetic towards kids missing practices that conflict? Do kids give priority to one vs the other? And, for many leagues, you sign up for the Fall and Spring separately, so technically the club team can do league only in the Fall, and then the kids do High School in the Spring, so how often do teams actually choose to do that? My kids will face this in two years so I'm curious, too. |
Sounds like most of college soccer |
Has anyone every seen a player (keeper) given a card that required leaving the field but then the official gives the card to a different player that was not involved in the foul and send that player off so that the keeper can remain? |
What does your kid do? Play sh@ty GAL teams in PA-NJ? Doesn’t it get old beating teams 11-0? I digress. Tell me where to find the beautiful game being played by kids. I’d like to watch. Perhaps you can attach a video clip. |
| I have seen a few HS teams try to play the beautiful game. I admire them even when they play against our local HS team. We play typical 4-4-2 and try to get the strikers the ball any way possible. It's ugly, but works for the most part. Not all HS and college teams play crap soccer though. Some try to do it right. They usually get beat unfortunately. |
Don't talk about yourk8dlike that. |
