Would you choose Lee Montessori over Breakthrough or reverse?

If you were in the position to attend, would you select one school over the other? Commute times being just about equal.

Yes if only for the outdoor space and the existing upper elementary classrooms already being in place. I think highly of both.

Lee being more established, always a good thing. But that’s the only reason.

We are at Lee and really like it and would definitely recommend. But I have always heard good things about Breakthrough (we have some acquaintances there who seem very invested). If all other things are equal I agree that it probably makes sense to give the nod to Lee for being more established. But if you get a better vibe at Breakthrough for some reason, you probably won't go wrong?

They seem relatively even to me. I’d choose the one that was closer to home.

Significantly more Lee parents regularly comment on DCUM than Breakthrough, so I would go with Breakthrough.

Interesting take. I honestly don't see much chatter about either school on DCUM (for better or for worse).

We've had a great couple years at Breakthrough and are heading back next year. We have friends who have been really happy at Lee. I think you've got a choice between two great options!

breakthrough will have a outdoor playground next year. the plans are on their website. Breakthrough has been wonderful for my two girls. i’m excited that they are back open on the 19th. I can’t speak to Lee but hear good things. Breakthrough is newer but I feel like it’s built really good momentum. It’s been wonderful to watch. I think it will continue to grow. I look at schools like CMI and Shining Stars, two former darlings of the DCUM crowd, not do as well. they were touted on here. Breakthrough and Lee don’t get much attention here, but I think that’s a good thing. Breakthrough has had stable leadership. the guides and parent community respect Hannah and Emily.

What is the plan for reopening breakthrough? Or Lee for that matter.
