I’d love a hydrangea tree in our small front yard. There’s a very large pine tree however that creates a lot of shade during portions of the day. I’d guess 50% of the hydrangea tree would definitely get hours of full sun but the rest dappled. Anyone have success in a situation like this?
Welcome any other tips for a hydrangea tree! I can’t really do a shrub given the layout so I’m really excited to try a hydrangea tree and enjoy those blooms! I wish you could get the tree version in blue. I only see it in limelight or pale pink‘s. |
| Yes, it grows, but not as well as full sun. I have one that's under a tree, and doesn't get that much sun. |
| Limelights will grow anywhere. |
| I have limelights in my side yard which get a lot of shade and they do fine. |
