Have evictions resumed? I saw an eviction in progress in Aspen Hill this morning

I was cutting through Aspen Hill Road, and there were multiple sheriffs cars in front of a house whose contents were lined up on the curb. Sheriffs were engaging with family.

I was surprised evictions had resumed in MoCo?

People have been able to be evicted for other things, just not covid-related non payment.

Just guessing, but I’m assuming that owners are still allowed to sell their property. A new owner would want to move in (or how could the current owner ever sell the property)? They must have exemptions for landlords who want to unload.

Some jurisdictions haven't even allowed owners to switch tenants at the end of a leaae. There is a mountain hidden under the surface when the moratorium expires
