Spinoff: I have an issue with buying coats. Anyone else?

Anonymous
I seriously buy 2-4 coats a year. At least. This year was really bad. I have bought 2 puffer type coats, 1 wool coat with an interesting collar, 2 trench coats, and one rain jacket type. I already have 5 wool coats that are nice, 3 down vests, 2 Burberry quilted coats, 4-5 car coat or trench type coats. I get them on major sale, and since I am slim, I am able to get some coats that might not work for others. I have some beautiful ones (one Max Mara wrap coat with a fur collar bought for 300, retail 1000 plus). But seriously I might have a problem. Others?

Yes, you have a problem. I love shopping, but I don't think I've bought a new jacket/coat in maybe 3-4 years. I already have more than 7-8 really nice ones!

Coats, no. Handbags, maybe...

I used to be like this as well but now that I've accumulated many nicer classic coats, I definitely don't think I'll be purchasing a new coat every year. But I am a coat lover like you so don't feel bad. After ridding myself of some older trendier pieces, this is what I kept: two nice trench coats, one big puffy jacket, 2 casual spring coats, a 3/4 pea coat, and one evening coat for special occasions.

Is this post real? This is funnier then the dirty dice. "I have many, many coats, so many coats that I am rich in coats, and I am also slim by the way." hahaha

OP, I understand. If I could (but I can't), I would buy enough coats to perfectly set off every outfit. That doesn't mean a different one for each outfit, of course...

I think another reason you're not hearing more moaning in ecstasy at the thought of gorgeous coats is that they're of relatively little use to people who spend a lot of time in cars. For walkers, it's a big part of our costume for much of the year.

Oh please. I walk everywhere and I only own three coats.

On the other hand, I'm a cosmetics junkie.

Seriously? My coats get worn out quickly when I use them daily for long stretches each day. Not necessarily worn out beyond use, but their appearance suffers at least to the point that they no longer look new and crisp.
