Volvo XC90 with three kids?

Anonymous
If you have this vehicle and 3 kids, does it work well for you? Is there enough space? We are not opposed to a roof shell for road trips. Our 3 kids range in age from 5-12 so no babies and the youngest will be in a booster soon. We need to replace our minivan, which has been great but I’d really like something different now. If not this car specifically, is there something similar that you love for your family of 5? Thanks!

I have an XC90 for family of 4 BUT we have used it and taken our kids friends in it all the time. Pre pandemic I would often have 6 people in the car with no issues. I say go for it. It’s the best car we have ever had, and we have had quite a few.

There are many many people with 3 kids who are fine with smaller cars. Even if someone came here and said, "no it's too small for 3 kids," that would not negate that it would be more than enough space for plenty of other people

We have it. The third row is tight. Don’t know if you’re a tall family. We are and my son at 12 is already cramped in last row.

You know the Audi Q5 is the new Volvo XC90 in this region

Not sure about the trend, but I think the XC90 is much more attractive and seems roomier.

It wouldn't work for us because we travel a lot, and we like to travel with a lot of stuff like sports equipment. Also, the third seats in those are only comfortable for younger kids.

Yep, it's perfect. Get the captains chairs. We looked at the Mercedes GLS (we also have three kids) and it was a total monster. Way too big.

LOL true to the DCUM demographic. A white lady asking about a Volvo.
