I had my windshield replaced a week ago, it's cracked in the lower corner

Is this a product defect or installation issue? I have to choose when calling the repair place

Probably installation, but they’re the ones who should know. Either way, a week out it’s on them to replace it again free of charge.

I should add; if you took the car through a car wash or used the high pressure wash hose in the self wash within a few days of the installation, don’t tell them that. Doing that can ruin the seals and crack the glass. They tell you 24 hours but you should always wait at least a week in my opinion.

Why do you need to choose? The problem is that a one week old windshield is cracked. Let them figure it out.

I am in an automated system. Press 1 for product defect, press 2 for installation defect

Sure. Call it a product defect. If you're somehow wrong, it's not your problem to fix. Don't overthink it.

Well, they won't fix it, they say I must have picked up another rock
