Recommend balcony removal service?!

We have a small old balcony wooden built in the 70s that is not up the newer codes and is likely not safe to stand on. We think it's is a miracle it didn't collapse after that snowstorms. We want to remove it and put something that we can just step out on-not a full balcony. We have a sliding glass door there already. Please recommend a company!! Also, any idea what something like this might cost?

Is this a later addition to the house or was it done when the house was built?

It was done when the house was built. It's small and just not well done at all. It's wooden. I am surprised it was even up to code in the 70s.
