My soon to be 3 year old was offered a seat at Robert Goddard Montessori which I was very excited about, but also presents with some issues as the PreK3 program is only half day that lets out at 11:45am (!!). We have a home daycare provider who we love, and who we would like him to stay with for afterschool hours, but the issue is transportation. We don't have access to retired grandparents or have neighbors that we would trust to transport him from school to daycare, and I know that for at least two days a week I will be in Baltimore for work so unable to pick him up on my lunchtime.
If there are any other parents in the PG area who have preschoolers in half day programs, what do you do? Are there daycares in the area that provide safe and trustworthy transportation for students in the PreK program? Any other ideas that I may not have thought of? The PTSA website suggests joining parent facebook and googlegroups but I've requested access and haven't gotten it yet. |

We used a private transportation company. DH works from home so he covered afternoons. Another child who also used the same company was dropped off at daycare. There was also a daycare provider who cane to the school and picked up several of the kids.
Congratulations on the spot. |
