Attorney needed (MoCo), exp with abuse / mental disorder situations

Anyone have any recommendations on attorneys in Mont County, MD for situations where the other spouse is verbally abusive, a chronic liar/stonewaller, and has several diagnosed and undiagnosed mental disorders? Young kids are involved.

I anticipate post-separation abuse as well as a high conflict divorce where they will try to protect their image and professional business reputation/ego.

I’m sorry you are going through this. I am in the same boat. The lawyer I recommend is Stephen shechtel.

He handled a neighbor’s divorce and was able to remove custody from the Mom who was unstable. His daughter Bethany runs the practice now but he is still around. When I am ready, I will go to them.

Not what you asked, but I would probably also set up mental health care for yourself and your children ahead of the process, if you’re not engaged in it already.
