Is arlington doing tryouts this year?

Considering moving to the area. Have not seen anything on the website. (This is for 2011 girls.)

Even if it's not listed, contact the age group director anytime and im sure they'll give you a tryout on a rolling basis. This is how it's been going at our club.

Top girls teams were in “Girls Academy (GA)” league this year and will be in ECNL next year.

2009 will be lowest ECNL age group

2011 top team would either be called pre ECNL or Red

Teams are Red, White, Blue etc

Has a coaching list for girls’ ECNL teams been posted?

All teams are doing tryouts even if not advertised.

2011 is a talented year for girls, definitely contact the director. McLean and PAC are other options close to Arlington. Depending where you live in the county their practice fields may be closer to you than some of Arlington’s.

Here’s this year’s coaching lineup. I’d expect similar next year. http://www.arlingtonsoccer.com/programs/development-academy/girls-coaching-staff

What is the average waiting time to hear back or get team invitations after tryouts?

At this point, it's fair to say that the Arlington and Mclean 2011 girls are head and shoulders above the rest of the area. There are talented players on other teams, but the other teams don't go as deep as those two and the talent seems to be spread out a bit more - numbers wise WAY more girls at both Mclean & Arlington than many of the surrounding area teams. Doesn't mean things will stay that way, they're all incredibly young and will develop, but those teams are significantly stronger at this moment.

Good luck finding the right place for your daughter, as prior respondent says, there are many options in the area depending on where you end up, and a number of very good coaches across the board at younger age girls.

What is the order of the Arlington teams? For example, which are the A teams, B teams, etc.?
