Looking for outdoor chairs for my front yard. I am looking into Adirondack Chairs but welcome other suggestions.
We live in NW DC, do you get worried they will get stolen? A neighbor has his attached to a concrete patch, I am not sure we want to do that. TIA |
| Second the recommendation for Loll Designs. Got our as DWR. We are also in NWDC. A few others on the block have them in their front yards or on front porch. |
| They look great. What makes them so pricy? Worth it? |
US made, super sturdy. |
| The Loll chairs are on sale at DWR right now, but they’re still $$$. |
| POLYWOOD chairs. Available at many places including Costco (may be on sale in May?) |

I can't stop laughing at the PPs who paid $600 for an Adirondack chair. I bought mine at World Market, virtually identical, for around $100. About 6 yrs ago--not sure how much they are now. They look perfect still.

I see these at Costco for $400 for two chairs and a small drink table. Are they good quality? |
That's impressive since the WM version is made of wood. I had painted wood Adirondacks and they were mush by the end of the season. Do you keep yours covered or re-seal them every year? Or have they actually withstood the elements for 6 full years? I now have Polywood adirondacks. Completely weather proof and look great no matter what. |
No they are not virtually identical. At least not the ones currently on the World Market website. FYI to OP, Room and Board sells Adirondacks with a modern design similar to the Loll chairs. |
|
To be clear, I’m talking about the flat back version.

Not PP, but yes, they are great quality. We have had ours for six or eight years and they are doing great. |
| Agree...get Polywood. Love the ones I have from Plough and Hearth. |
| We have the polywood ones from LLBean |
