Experience with FC Barcelona summer camp

I know this a money-making endeavor and isn’t about scouting for Barca.

Has anyone sent their kid to one of their camps, either in the area or a different state. Just want to know whether it’s well-run, fun, decent development, etc.

Thanks.

It’s well run and fun for the kids. Don’t expect much player development in a one week camp. Always good experience to play with different sets of players and coaches, learn new perspectives. If your kid loves soccer they will enjoy the camp

Thanks PP. Have you had good experience with other non-local-club soccer camps?

What age is your child?

My kids enjoyed it.

That said, it largely depends on the level of the kids attending the camp. But it’s just like any camp....it’s the luck of the draw as far as attendees. Overall, I’d recommend it, esp if they don’t play Barca style. My kids did enjoy it.

Agree that it is well run and organized. DS liked it, overall. It is good for younger players, say preteen. There were fewer older players at least from what we noticed.

It was held at the Germantown SoccerPlex and it was convenient. The Barca style training is different and fairly disciplined, so a good learning experience for DS. There are Barca coaches that move about the fields. They train US coaches to run the training and field play and they mostly observe the play. DS thought coaches provided good feedback.

If your kid can kick and run they will invite them to Barcelona for an all expense paid trip you.
