ECNL has created four regional boys leagues. What is the difference (or purpose) between those regional leagues and the primary leagues?

| money grab and branding |
| Same reason Comcast is now called Xfinity |
1. Regional focus (relative to full ECNL) so less travel 2. Lower level of play, on average 3. No national showcases or championships |
This is a power play by ECNL to get as many teams as possible under their umbrella. Eventually there will be pro/rel between the leagues. |
Doubt it. Clubs like having all age groups play at the same place each game day to make it easier on coaches. |
| Does the Girl ECNL also mirror the same league structure as boys? i.e. regional leagues and the primary leagues? |
Thanks for the explanation. I was t sure what difference was |
Until January 2022 |
Exactly. A Team - ECNL B Team - ECNL-R C Team - ECNL- (to be determined) |
| Now the franchise part of the the plan begins. Its all starting to make sense. |
