I went over to VPL web site to check out the news, One thing notable in the statement is Chantilly is not mentioned - implying they are out next year.

Maybe there is substance behind the SYA / CYA soccer merger rumor. If so, I am surprised as merger means fewer Soccer Directors, fewer kids on top teams etc which makes me assume the incentives of the decision makers align against mergers. But the Great Falls Reston merger did get pulled off a few years back.

SYA + CYA = Valor FC (for travel soccer). That is a done deal, announced to both clubs.
