I need to relocate with a baby for a few months to another state. Putting furniture in storage but sill will have quite a bit of stuff with me. What vehicle (not a truck) would give me the most trunk space to fit boxes etc?
To clarify, this is for a rental. Just for the 10 hr drive to the new state.
Hard to know because you don't know which vehicle they'll give you. Are you more comfortable with either type of vehicle?
Maybe you want to reserve a car at a big airport like IAD or BWI and decide on the car when you get there. If you need to change your rate when you're there, it might be worth it.
Minivan. Their backs are much deeper. Though if you are only driving one way then you won’t be able to take out seats. Maybe there is one where the seats fold in?
Chryslers 2nd row captain chairs fold into the floor and with the 3rd row down, it is completely flat. But you would only be able to fold one down since the baby would be in the other. With the 3rd row down, it is still a good amount of room - I can't compare to a large SUV, but I haul a ton in my Town and Country minvan. |
Yes, minivan by far because of the extra interior height.
Suv
Minivan is way more functional unless you get into the super sized SUVs but those cost more and don't really do much more for you unless you have insecurity issues.
Minivan of course! We could put a baby elephant in our Odyssey w/all the back the seats down, two baby elephants if they're on a keto diet
