Maybe NAFTA wasn’t such a great idea after all.

No! F*** lower educated white men. They got us here. They can suck my d

Ironically, it sounds like you would have a lot in common with them.

She's behind over 200K votes?

Have you forgotten Atlanta votes are still not in?

Aren’t they all in?

Anonymous wrote:It's laughable to me—a progressive—when I see Trump supporters act like they're scoring some kind of victory against us on stuff like immigration. Mass deportations( whatever that means and however it is implemented) will create severe labor shortages across multiple industries that typically rely on unskilled labor. This will in turn force companies to compete for workers in ways they don't want and or, aren't used to. Inevitably you'll end up with much higher prices than what we have now.
Even with a national abortion ban, the days of white women having six or seven kids are long gone and will not come back. So, if you voted for Trump because your ignorance and cowardice had you blaming dems instead of corporate greed, then get ready, it's only getting started. This progressive will watch with glee as companies go under for failing to attract or not being able to sustain the inevitably high starting wages that workers will command because of market forces created by your mass deportations.

Contrary to popular belief, Obama was big on mass deportation.

False. His administration focused heavily on people who had run,ins with law enforcement and left the rest alone.

You do understand that a country is what its people are and this is what we get.

That’s a good point. Trump is an accurate reflection of the country at this point in time. How the mighty have fallen.

It depends on the state, but I think most states count them first. But that was not always the case - the mail in votes trickled in after the Election Day votes in 2020 in some states.

Interesting because the Teamsters initially supported Biden, but then changed their tune when it was Harris. Blatant misogyny.

But, let Trump make it harder to unionize as long as those men stick it to the libs.

What’s going on in VA?

Omg. The stupidity

So what is wrong with companies competing for workers and raising wages ????

I consider labor shortages wonderful. I have never known anything bad to come from a labor shortage, and what we are doing with our immigration policy is keeping the labor market in constant surplus.

Vernon Briggs
Cornell Labor Economist

The underlying truth about the immigration battle is that is is fundamentally between those with an insatiable appetite for more cheap, disposable, foreign workers, and those who embrace the social good of tight labor markets.

A lot of people are voting anti-progressive. And it is costing Democrats. This should not be a close election.

+1 All that you said.

Also men competing against women in sports.

STFU, bigot.

It might very well end womens sports which is seriously messed up.

No, it won’t, bigot.

Voting for Trump b|c they don’t like inflation.

Women struggle to pay for groceries under the Dem policies.

Maybe they should have worked harder in school and got a better paying job. So sick of whiny Republicans complaining about how they can’t afford to eat. Although looking at the people in the deep red states they sure are eating something.

+1 red state garbage. This country needs to spilt. Let the MAGAs rot.

This thread is a mess of stupids on both sides who are losing their minds over what are, so far, entirely predictable results. None of the battlegrounds have been called. VA is not in play - it will go to Harris, but with perhaps a right trend. Some states will go to Trump, but with a left trend. This was anticipated.

Relax, everyone, no one can call the election right now.

No. VA is close as Fairfax county and Arlington are almost fully counted and Trump is still leading

There's still 175K votes outstanding in Fairfax and around 70K in Arlington still to be counted. 50K outstanding in Alexandra. Over 100K outstanding in Henrico (lean Harris) and Virginia Beach (lean Trump).

You sound so intelligent.

Here’s a thought. If results are coming in that are not what you want or expect, take a minute to reflect that maybe you are not in the majority. Think about why. I’m a republican who voted independent this election. People here are so in their own heads they can’t fathom someone disagrees with them. I pay $100 for 3 bags of groceries. That’s what people care about. What will it take for people in this area to realize that other people don’t give a crap about some of these other issues. They can’t afford food.
