| Hi All - I'm hoping you can recommend a good training bra for a 12 year old girl who needs one. She has tried a few and HATES them (too tight, too uncomfortable). But, she really really needs to wear one. Any recommendations? |
| Not knowing what you've tried, it's hard to recommend something different. But, my daughter wears soft cotton ones (kind of t-shirt fabric). She also wears sports bras, but she likes them loose. I get them at JC Penney's and Target. Occasionally, Walmart will have them. Penney's is the most reliable place and has the most color and size choices. |
| My sensory defensive kid likes her yellowberry bras. |
I was just looking at these today. Glad to see the positive review (as they are a bit more pricey). Going to order some now. |
How do you find the sizing and thickness? I was checking them out too.. We currently have Hanna Andersson barrettes but she won't wear them because they too thick. I agree with her though- they have two layers of cotton plus a thick poly interfacing that feels more like padding. |
| My 9yo likes the ones from Athleta Girl— they’re basically like soft sports bras with no frills or anything. |
| Mine prefers the sports bra-like pull-ons over the traditional bras with hooks. Most of hers are Hanes from Target with some UA and Nike sports bras mixed in. |

| Your daughter may need a bra, but ask yourself if that is true. Forcing her to wear a bra can make her unnecessarily self-conscious. My kid is the same way, and I finally decided that I wanted her to wear a bra because I was uncomfortable with her developing body because I wasn't ready for the change. But there was no actual NEED for a bra. |

Mine like these and they are super soft

| My almost 9yo has got little protrusions happening and I want her to wear one when she does her martial art. Sometimes they can just wear shorts and a tshirt and her shirt rides up. I took her to Target with me and let her try a few on in the bathroom. She picked out 2 two packs and has been happy wearing them. I think one was Hanes and the other Cat and Jack. |
i in an the above PP with almost 9yo. I thought about this too and it took me like a month to actually go get them. But I didn’t want some kid at her martial art class making a comment about it or an adult male seeing it. She only wears them for this sport for right now. It’s not daily. |
| Bleuet Bleum Racerback - not cheap, but my daughters say they are the most comfortable we have tried (which is everything from Target to Athleta). No padding, but they are double lined and thick enough to cover buds. |
| gap has some nice thick bralettes |

DD is really sensitive to materials and would only wear these.
