Perpetual Well dog bowl

We got a golden retriever (from a responsible breeder with good healthy lineage!) late January. I'm amazed with how much water we go through, between him and our 2 cats. Always bowls need water, need cleaning, get sloshed around, etc.
I have ordered a fixture called the "perpetual well," it is a plumbed self-filling dog bowl...with a plumbed drain underneath. Its arriving today. One thing is "where do you put it?
It has to be accessibly near a drain and feed line. Our plan is to put it in the bathroom on the side of the cabinet.

I have already opened the wall to install a sanitary tee in the sink drain line, funny thing is the upstairs tub connects just below the sink with a wye. Anyway, Once I get the area ready i plan to install a flexible tee, then grade the drain back from there.

As I do all this work, I keep reminding myself I'll never have to worry about an empty pet bowl again. hopefully! When I'm finished I will report back how it went, should be another week or so.
