Fibroids

My husband I have been TTC for over 6 months and were referred to SGF since I'm over 36 and have irregular cycles.

All of our bloodwork and baseline screening came back normal but they did identify that I had 2 small fibroids. Still waiting for follow up consult, but wondering if anyone else had this issue and if it had an impact in trying to get pregnant? Did they recommend removal of the fibroids prior to proceeding with TTC or does that just depend on the size/location of the fibroids?

I also have 2 small fibroids. My doctors have not been concerned about them. It does depend on size/location. We never discussed removal.

Fibroids grow with estrogen, so there’s a good chance they will grow with treatment. We chose to remove a fibroid- despite SGF saying it was probably fine to leave it- and once the surgeon got in there, it was much worse than imaging had shown. Immediately got pregnant after the surgery.

I had mine removed before TTC. My kids are 18 and 16 now! don't worry, OP!
