I am only about 6 weeks pregnant, but I wake up with very sore hips in the morning. I have taken to sleeping with a pillow between my knees, and this seems to help.
Anyone else have this? |
Yes, I think I remember this. I don't recall doing anything about it, and it went away until the 3rd trimester. At the end, though, they're sore for a different reason! |
Sorry to tell you, for me it lasted until delivery. Your hips are actually becoming wider and I think that's what you feel. Pillows help. I ended up using a feather mattress on top of my regular mattress. |
OP here. We have a memory foam mattress on the bed, and I think that helps. The only problem with the pillow between the knees is you tend to wake up when you roll over because you get a bit tangled. |
14:30 here. If I could sew, I would design pajamas with padded inner knees so that you didn't have the pillow issue. If anyone with a clothing company wants to steal my idea, feel free! Just make it available to non-pregnant women too, since I always sleep with something there. |
I am 28 weeks pregnant and my hips are extremely sore in the mornings. Actually, they are sore almost all of the time. That being said, if you can afford it I would recommend a prenatal massage. They can focus on your hips and it is THE BEST. Money well spent, in my opinion. You're doing the right thing with the pillow between the knees. If you're comforatble with taking Tylenol, take two before bed...it really helps. Good luck and congratulations! |
OP here, I like the padded pjs idea. ![]() PP - my regular massage therapist will not do massages during the first trimester, so I have to wait. I can hardly wait though. Massage on my hips, that sound great!! |
