| I recently purchased this item to store several of my dried food items: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90066708. If anyone has knowledge of plastic safety, can you please let me know if this is considered a safe plastic? thanks so much! |
| The link doesn't work. What number is on the bottom? 1,2, 4, and 5 are thought to be OK. |

Sorry! I can't figure out the number - I thought it would be on the bottom with a circle around it. There is a number 2 on the container, so perhaps it is 2? The link is:http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90066708
thanks again! |

OP again - the IKEA website states that it is made of:
SAN plastic, Polypropylene, Polypropylene, Synthetic rubber |
Why don't you look up or google these chemicals and read about them. I am sure there is an abundance of info on these all over the internet. |
| OP, don't have anything to offer on the ikea stuff but my guess would be no. fwiw, i found a website ( safemama.com) that has info about stuff and can link you to places to buy safe plates, bath toys, etc... |
