I had a D&C, and the doctor said it'd take 4-6 weeks. Everyone is different, so I'm just wondering if people can share their experiences. I'm sorry you had to go through it.
I'm still dealing with the mental aspects of my own D&C (at 11 weeks), so reading other people's stories makes me feel better. |
| I had a D&C on February 13 and I’m still waiting for my period. Mine was at what should have been 9 weeks pregnant, but the miscarriage was diagnosed at 7weeks. |
| I've had two D&Cs and it took me about 4 weeks. I had a short cycle to start, if that should make any difference. |
I also had a d&c at about 13 weeks, measuring 11 weeks. I got my period just over 4 weeks after the d&c. I’m sorry you are going through this! |
I am still waiting on my period 6 weeks after D&C. I want to start trying again asap (after my first cycle) so the wait is killing me.
D&C was done at 9 weeks but heartbeat stopped at 7. |
| I am In the same boat. D&c feb 9th. Wanting to try again ASAP. I was 15 weeks |
| I had a D&C last March and it took 5 and a half weeks to get my period after (still not pregnant again but will start IVF in a couple of months) |
| OP here, thank you all for sharing your story with me. |
I'm so sorry for your loss |
| Feb 9th here - got my period yesterday on 3/14. Hoping others in this thread get theirs soon too and we can all move forward. Xoxo |
| I had my D&C on Feb 4th and had my period on March 7th. |
| I had my D and C last week. When did you all stop bleeding? I exercised this week. Doctor said I could and noticed more blood after going to the bathroom, but it has stopped now. Is this normal? |
Yes, it’s normal. I spotted on and off for almost a week after my D&C. As for my period - I’m the op up thread who had a D&C on Feb 13, and I just got my period today. |
| Mine didn’t come back but after two months or so my gynecologist gave me something for it. Maybe progesterone? I got pregnant on the next cycle and that child is now almost 10. Another uneventful pregnancy 2 years later. Good luck. I know it’s hard but you’ll get there. |
Totally normal |
