can you apply to SWW after 9th?

Anonymous
Hello, does anyone know if you can apply for the lottery for grades other than 9th? Is this common?
Any insight welcome, thanks

Yes you can apply- there are limited spots

Few spaces available - you can see on the past years lottery results page.

Basically depends on how many students are counseled out or move.

My child was admitted this year as a 10th grader. He got in off of the waiting list right before school started.

Thanks, I am sure moving schools during remote learning was hard, but how has your 10th grader found the school?
Thanks

He has been fine. The first few weeks were a little bumpy, but he’s done fine ever since. He had a lot of friends at Walls and is a pretty easygoing kid, so the transition overall has been smooth. He came from a school that others say is less rigorous, but he seems to have been well prepared and is getting good grades. He says it’s more work, but he seems to manage it OK.
