We have a stored blastocyst that was “low mosaic.”
What type of doctor/specialist should we consult with to help weigh the pros and cons of potentially moving forward? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you. |
| Typically, a geneticist at the lab that tested your embryos will provide a consultation (often included in the cost of testing) about the specific type of mosaic you have, how likely it is to result in a birth defect, etc. I believe there are also independent geneticists that will provide this service on a consulting basis. You might want to post on the My Perfect Mosaic Facebook group for more information. It's a knowledgeable group and there are a lot of posters who have transferred blasts with varying degrees of mosaicism. You could probably also get recommendations for specialists who might be able to advise further. FWIW, my RE pretty much deferred most of my questions to the geneticist but was open to transferring my mosaic if I had gone that route. |
