Volvo XC90 with 3 kids?

Does anyone have it and if so, thoughts on its size for three kids? We're in NYC so we don't drive an insane amount and don't car pool a lot but it would be nice to have extra space for our parents or friends. We're also looking at the Subaru Ascent and the Mercedes GLS (but damn that thing is expensive... and huge).

Would love to hear some feedback if you have the car - thanks!

I’m loving mine so far. I got the hybrid so have only needed to fill the tank once in a few months. Also love to be able to use gas for road trips. The space is good for 3 smaller kids but the backseat is definitely tight. We got the built in booster in the middle seat but actually I wish I hadn’t. It’s so short that my little ones legs dangle off and she’s so young I’m rather uncomfortable with her not having the side head supports of the full booster seat. Otherwise love the car. The front seats are ridiculously comfortable.

Xc90 is a Very good looking car with a gorgeous interior. Expensive, but if you can afford it, it will work fine for 3 kids.

I have the gls. It’s huge. I wouldn’t want to park it in nyc, and I used to live in nyc. I also looked at the xc90. It’s a very nice car, and about $20k less. I would go with the XC90. Not the Subaru.

I have the hybrid and fill it once a month, if that. I decided to go with the captains seats, so getting in the back is far easier and you don't have to move any seats to get there. We've been happy.

I have an XC90 and 3 kids. It fits everyone well. I live in CT & pre-Covid, drove into NYC often and parked easily.

I have the Ascent. It’s a very nice car. But, big!! Might be hard to maneuver in NY?

I wanted the XC90 but couldn’t sell DH on the price so ended up with an MDX. But still love the XC90 whenever I see them!

Too bad. MDX reliability is projected to be terrible.
