Or renovation/organization project/improvement that you made during pandemic.
We are looking into storage ideas for the basement and office, but what we really need is more closets, without making the house look like it has "too many" (if that is possible). |
Plants. I added so many plants to my decor this past year. They bring me joy to tend to AND they are great decor that bring a lot of warmth and interest to my spaces. For organization, some time in the early summer we got bored enough to go through ALL the boxes we had in storage. It turned out to be a great weekend project. We donated some stuff, sold some stuff, displayed some stuff we forgot about, and just had a great time going down memory lane with all of it. |
I hung wallpaper for the first time ever in my powder room. I love it. |
Not as grand as new closets. But I was able to take the time to properly refinish my kitchen table. And it's gorgeous. So much money saved. |
Cleaned out the garage -
Created better storage so we have access to items there Got rid of a bunch of items. Now that we can see what we have - and have access to it - we are able to use it. |
Updated the light fixtures and blinds. I started a garden too and had a good yield but that obviously didn’t survive the winter. One of the larger projects will be built in bookcases. |
Updated the colors in my living room- new rug, pillows, curtains |
I was just at ikea and they have these really tall wardrobe things in the closet area. I was sort of wishing I had just lined a wall in our basement with them, which would create just a ton of storage for all the crap that is everywhere. That would be kind of heaven.
We bought nice patio furniture that is really comfy. |
Lots of painting because it’s my favorite thing to do. As I tell my DH, it’s a can a paint and a dream. Just ordered 10 yards of fabric to cover my outdoor cushions. The cushion change occurred because I bought a new rug for the porch. |
Backyard space, string lights, furniture, fire pit.
Indoor, desks/chairs for all of us, and we all did some bit of decoration/organization. |
Elfa closets!
I also spent an obscene amount of time decorating the nursery for my first bebe and I must say I really love it in there and it functions so well. I remember I got everything ordered from IKEA for delivery just before that went completely nutso. |
Love Elfa.
I've been going through piles of stuff and donating it, often on the local Buy Nothing group. |
