Thanks for any insights.

It’s an amazing school and has been open safely for the entire school year - 5 days a week/ full days. The head of school is incredible. Outplacement continues to be successful with families getting into their top choices.

Thanks! Anyone else?

We are so happy there. It’s such a nurturing environment and I can’t say enough good things about the head of school. We have felt incredibly safe there during Covid and are so appreciative that they’ve been open all year. All the kids we know there got their first choice of schools for next year.

I'm also interested in recent experience. Can anyone tell me how much the kids are outside, on average? (What outside spaces do they utilize?) Also curious for pre-academic skills for the older kids -- is there an emphasis on phonics for the oldest?

Would love to hear some recent experiences too.

We have not had the chance to visit the school because of the pandemic, so we are trying to get as much insights as possible (it is really hard to get a good sense with just one virtual open house).

Any comments on drop off/pick up process, potty training support, meal/snack time, classroom space (big/small/crowded/windows etc.)

Really any details at this point are very helpful.

We are a LFS family and absolutely love it, started our child in the "Tiny Folks" room. No complaints. The teachers are warm and the headmaster is amazing. I've always gotten the sense that LO is cared for and attended to. The space is really nice, it feels bright and clean and there is a sizeable play room for rainy days, though they get plenty of outdoor time at Volta Park. I can't speak to its academic development--though I think LO is doing very well in that department, we frankly picked LFS because of their emphasis on socio-emotional development, having wanted an environment for our toddler to develop into a caring, empathetic, and happy little person, and we've been very happy with our decision.
