Should there be measurable follicles at the Day 6 appointment?

What to expect at this appointment? Should there be something measurable? If so, how big? If there isn't, is there high likelihood of cancelling? Is there a range E2 to be expected? Anything to high or low?

Day six of stims, or day six of your cycle?

Honestly, either way, trust what your doc says. I didn’t respond super quickly and was worried. My doctor said it would be fine and I’d get at least a dozen. Even like two days before my retrieval I think they counted 9 follicles and I was discouraged. Then another doctor monitored me the next day and I had high teens on his scan. Ended up having 20 eggs. My friend had the same experience. Both of us were on stims for like 7 days total before triggering.

The doctors do this with thousands of patients. They know what they’re doing and have seen it all. They’ll tell you if there’s concern and will help you manage expectations for your situation.

Agree with the PP. I don’t remember exactly what I saw on which days but I remember being a little discouraged overall in the first week or so. I ended up stimming for 12 days and had 16 eggs retrieved. So sometimes it takes a little while to get going.

Op here- Thanks both! I meant day 6 monitoring during stim. I hope to be as lucky as you both. It sounds like a small number or size can change in a day.
