Tee ball for 4 yr old in city of Alexandria?

Anonymous
Is there a tee ball team for 4-5 year olds in the north part of Alexandria (Alexandria city)? I looked online and there's Alexandria Little League but it starts at age 8. Looks like there is a city baseball camp starting at age 5. And Potomac baseball league for tee ball but it looks like the games are down by Huntley Meadows/Groveton area, which is a good half an hour from the Del Ray area at least. I was hoping for a tee ball team in the neighborhood or city of Alexandria itself.

Yeah I don’t get this area . Everyone and their mother plays soccer but don’t see any tee ball leagues

Doesn't Annandale have one? It is right next door.

I don't know how far north in Alexandria you are, but Ft. Hunt little league has t-ball

OP, look at the offerings through the City of Alexandria's rec department -- they have t-ball.

Also, Huntley Meadows is not "a good half an hour from the Del Ray area at least". Lol.

What about the Alexandria Babe Ruth (Pioneer) league?

Central Springfield Little League has a lot of young City of Alexandria players.

Tball is really dull for kids. Hitting off the tee and running - that’s fine. Literally everything else about it is painfully dull for kids. Frankly, you are pushing it at age 9 but can be done as kids can find some interest while waiting for an at bat or a ball to come to them in the field.

Sure, for some kids. My then 4 year old adored it from day one, and he’s played baseball at increasingly serious levels ever since. He’s a 14 year old pitcher for his travel team now. Tee ball should be fun, and no one should be yelling at kids or making them do drills. Run, hit, catch, throw, giggle - its supposed to be FUN.

Agree, definitely look at Pioneer. Fair amount of city of Alexandria kids there and would be closer than CSLL, though probably about the same as APLL. Tee ball games are mostly at Lee District Park if that helps.

+1

This is a no-brainer. Go to the city’s rec department and sign up for the city league.
