Oximeter says 75

Oximeter is at 75. Is it hospital time?
Rash for about a month. Nothing else. Feeling fine .

It's must be wrong. Test it on others in your household.

If it said 75 you wouldn’t be posting.

It’s not me. Other person in house. You saying a person at 75 wouldn’t be lucid?

Turn it off and on and retest as PPs said. If it’s truly that low, go to the hospital.

Are they gasping for air? Lethargic?

I’d try changing the battery or test it on yourself, also. If it was truly 75, there would be other signs that would be concerning to you and you might think to go to the ER vs posting on DCUM. (Not being snarky—75 sustained is pretty low)

Thanks. Not only are there no other symptoms even I’m very ambivalent. I will restart it now. Thanks all

Also, warm up their hands first. My friends dad had Covid and they struggled to get an accurate pulse ox. An EMT said to rub his hands to warm them first.

If you’re 99 and they’re 75, call 911

Yes at 75 the person would not lucid and most likely turning blue.

88 is not great either
Anonymous
88 is pretty low. If you’re reading in the high 90s and the other really is 88 get to a hospital ASAP

88 is hospital time. /doctor who works with COVID

I’ve read too many stories of asymptomatic folks dropping dead at home - that reading is definitely low enough to go to the emergency department and get evaluated. Don’t wake up to a corpse.
