I'm not sure this is true. We are family friends with Steny Hoyer and he wasn't given any tickets to give out. |

They are supposed to be free, but there are some creeps on eBay and Craigslist who will sell them for ridiculously high prices. |

| You need to log in to your account and check your status I don't think people CAN sell them online - or, more accurately, they can sell them but I don't think you can use them without i.d. that matches the tickets. So I wouldn't buy any from anyone... |

This is not how it worked last year. You didn't need an id, just the tickets. I would assume it will be the same this year. |

| In order to register for the lottery, you had to attest that you woul dnot give or sell your tickets to anyone else (if I remember this accurately). It was a button you had to click to send your lottery application through. I am not sure I'd want to lie to the secret service! Just my 2 cents. |
