Would you eat a salad from a fast food restaurant, like McDonald’s or Chick-fil-a? Or is the risk of listeria or other illness too high? They are usually prepackaged. |
I don't think illness is the issue. I just think it is disappointing, and not worth it for the price point.
The taco salad at Wendy's is fine, I do enjoy it if my family is getting food there. But it's not their speciality, and at $8.50, I could pay just a little more and get a great salad at Cava, Roti, Sweet green, etc, which I could not make at home plus is healthier. The Wendy's salad is something I can make at home, plus not too nutritious. |
The chick fil a salads are good, I wouldn’t wonder one at McDonald’s. |
I get the ones in sweet green. |
No. I would get sweet green or chop’t but I don’t trust the ingredients at McDonalds/Wendy’s when I’m not pregnant... |
Sweet green & chopt are great
Chick-fil-A salads are well priced for the option |
there was a pretty widespread parasitic illness linked to McDonalds salads a few years ago:

I ate tons of salads in first tri. Sweetgreen and Chick fil A. It was all I had a taste for, strangely. Listeria is a risk, but one i was willing to take for salad. |
No, but I stopped going to fast food restaurants like ... 17 years ago, after I read Fast Food Nation. |
I don’t think McDonald’s sells salads now. |
They don’t. |
I have eaten a Chick-Fil-A salad every week of this pregnancy and all good so far! |
I get the chick Fil a Cobb salad at least once a week! Never had any issues. |
Ok cool for you? |
Chick fil a Cobb salad with avocado ranch dressing is divine.
Ate 5 days in a row while Getting our kitchen remodeled this week. One is 2 meals - lunch and dinner. Had it with chicken strips, spicy grill, and grilled chicken. The Chopt version is good too, but they only have regular ranch. |
