| My main ATM is in the entryway of a drugstore (sliding doors into entryway, a separate set of sliding doors into drugstore proper). Is it ok if I am on a walk with my dog, to pop in for a minute to withdraw some cash? |
| I suppose. I wouldn’t do it because it’s a bit borderline, but I wouldn’t fault someone else for doing it, if your dog is well-behaved. |
| Well behaved dog? It’s fine. |
| Of course, yes. |
| Sure. But make sure there’s a very wide clear path for those who don’t like dogs. |
| Sure. Just keep the dog sitting right next to you and on a short leash. |
|
Well behaved, yes. Dog spinning around on leash and being obnoxious, no.

|
If there's a sign on the exterior door that says no pets except service dogs - and it's not a service dog - then no.
Otherwise ok as long as the dog is leashed and calm. |
| Thanks, all! I am pleasantly surprised by the positive consensus. My dog is well-behaved, so I will withdraw cash, basking safely in the glow of approval from DCUM. |
| NO! I would be so upset if I had to walk by someone and their dog on my way into the store. Do not take your dog inside places that don't allow dogs unless it is a service dog. |
| One more: Yes. Fine if it’s on a short leash and calm. |
| This isn’t really an ATM lobby. I’d ask the drug store manager if it’s ok rather than wonder if I’m in the wrong if someone complains. This isn’t a judgment call; there is someone who can give you a definitive answer. |
| Only if the store is dog-friendly. Come on, OP! |
|
No. Come on OP, have some consideration for others. Clearly you're thinking about this in advance, so why is it so hard to plan in advance? Leave the dog at home/outside and go to the ATM.
Or go to the ATM another time. |
| No. Unless it is a legitimate service dog I think this is obnoxious behavior. |
