moving to Tampa area

Where would you pick in Tampa area if you wanted to be within 30 minutes of the beach? Empty nesters with two young college students.

South Tampa. I grew up there. So gorgeous, good restaurants, lots to do.

A friend of mine just moved down to Tampa and absolutely loves it. He lives on Davis Island. It's pricey for Tampa but cheap compared to the Northeast.

Hyde Park. Especially if you have the money to buy one of those gorgeous bungalows.

The nice areas of Tampa have some really overbuilt monstrosities. This midcentury house in Davis Islands is a breath of fresh air.

I love Hyde park, but it kind of reminds me of Bethesda with lots of cute family homes. Not sure if that is what OP is looking for. I feel like it would be perfect for a young family
