Does anyone know what the average HYBRID class size will be for APS lower elementary? |
I think around 12 |
My 2nd grader’s class will be 16 split between 2 rooms, so 8 kids per cohort. |
3rd grader with 18 kids. School says the room is big enough to accommodate them all. |
It depends on the room size and how other classes numbers fell.
In our school it’s no more than 12 or 13 in person. |
This is similar to what my 2nd graders teacher told me. The hybrid class is like, 18 students split into two rooms. Each classroom has a capacity of 12. The virtual classes are huge, relatively speaking. That worries me. |
My kid's 1st grade class is now 14, split between two rooms. There was so much attrition at our school from kids who dropped out midyear to do homeschool. |
10-12 according to our ES |
14 kids in one room. |
How is that possible if they are dividing the class in half? |
They are not dividing the class in half. They found a big room. |
My kindergartner has a split classroom. 6 kids per class. My 3rd grader is no split and will have 9. |
Same. Pp with 18 kids in one class. I’m not very happy about it. |
Our school told us between 6-14 per class, depending on the size of the space and the number of kids coming back in person. |
This is upper elementary but my child's homeroom has been relocated to an art room so they can fit all of the hybrid kids in there. I don't know how many that is but it's a much bigger space. |
