We need our kids in activities. Covid and winter kept them inside . We need them in COVID safe activties ASAP, before the house is totally wrecked.
Any tips on safe sports/ swim lessons? What are other people doing? Looking for a 6 and 3 year old. |
6 and 3? They don't need activities. They just need to run around outside. Make some time for them, |
At 3, my daughter started ballet. It was like a creative movement dance class.
My kids also enjoyed t ball (starting age 4), swim and soccer. |
swim schools and swim lessons are definitely open
rec soccer is starting in a few weeks. |
I’m still waiting for the kid walker.
Considering hiring a sitter to just do that for an hour. They could set the price even. Daily or weekly. |
It’s as safe as you believe for activities. With more schools having in person there is more exposure risk. It’s up to you. |
You kept them inside in the winter?
I don't understand some people. |
Poors in apartments. |
I would not do swim though a swim school. Many are posting unsafe pictures but I would do outdoor with the county. |
I know a lot of people who did this. Kids are actually fine bundling up and going outdoors, and their mood improves vastly. It’s the adults who are resistant. |
OP here. UM WTF what is this horrible hate posts.
No we didn’t keep our kids inside all winter. But there are only so many family hikes you can do. Plus the recent ice made it unsafe being outside at times. Come on DCUM- I need some real suggestions. Yikes. |
Sign up for spring sports- tball, lacrosse, soccer, outdoor karate. |
Gymnastics for both ages. Silver stars and dynamite in MoCo both have classes going on. My kids also loved classes at artworks in Bethesda at those ages. |
Just signed my 6 year old up for soccer. |
Yesssss I was that poster. $25 for an hour? I’d like someone to take them on a walk, make them skip, hop and run and they can end at the playground. |
