The only sister of the Mayor of Washington, D.C. has died of Covid-19

This entire city owes Mayor Bowser a debt of gratitude for the work she'd done during the pandemic and may her family find peace for her loss.

For those of you constantly complaining about the Mayor locking down the city, keeping venues and schools closed. Maybe now you'll consider the 1,000 D.C. families who have lost a loved one to this virus.

Condolences to the mayor and her family, but your observation doesn't square with the facts. Bowser had been trying to *open* school buildings since last summer, and she kept indoor dining open far longer than science said was wise. Frankly, I've seen more people here complain that she didn't lock down things more stringently.

Sad news, but her Health Director, LaQuandra Nesbitt is the worst!
