Pediatrician in the Bethesda area that takes Kaiser

Anonymous
My company is switching to Kaiser Permanente from BCBS. I have an almost 1 year old and I really like my pediatrician, but they do not take Kaiser. I have called around to other pediatricians in my area, and none of them take it either. Can anyone with Kaiser recommend their pediatrician? I really don't want to switch, but I may not have a choice

Hi,

I love Dr. Baldwin atKaiser West End. I didn't want to swicth from BCBS at fiirst either but now I LOVE Kaiser. It is one stop medical care. Also, I email any of my docs including Dr. Baldwin and they email me back withen 24 hours! There is a super easy nurse advice line and they handle sick baby visits really well too. I have been very pleased with the swicth after being with BCBS for 10 years. Good luck!

Kaiser doctors work solely at Kaiser facilities. I'd figure out what facility you'd go to (Kensington?) then get on the Kaiser website and get doctor names.

For Kaiser Kensington, Elizabeth Valois comes highly recommended--she switched over to Kaiser from another practice.

For Kaiser West End, we also loved Anne Baldwin.

OP here. Thanks for the recommendations! I am just scared to leave my pediatrician that has known my daughter since birth, but if there are good dr's at Kaiser, then maybe it won't be so bad.

With Kiaser insurance you can only go to a Kaiser doctor. We have both, Kaiser and Aetna, so I can compare. And I can tell you Kiaser is great.
So much easier and more convinient. The doctors are excellent. Good luck.

If Kaiser Kensington is convenient for you, do not hesitate to switch to Dr. Valois. She is amazing! She was our doc before she left Pullman & Ariza, and we really miss her.

Yes, we absolutely love Dr. Valois!

If you have the 3 tier Kaiser plan, you can go to "in network" doctors as well (search on the website) but I'd definitely give the in house ones a try - cheaper and easier.
