Appointments for learner's permits in Maryland?

| I went to make my son an appointment to take the learner's permit test with the MVA, and the first appointment available wasn't until mid-May. Does anyone know if there's a certain day and time when they release new appointments? I'm wondering if I can get a cancellation or something earlier. Thanks! |

| Do make sure you check different locations. We just went through making an appointment, and the earliest date I found (looking at the 3 or 4 closest offices) was May 5. If you're willing to drive further, there might be an earlier opening. |

| Right, you can do it any MVA in MD, not just your closest. |
