LCPS if your DC wants to go back to DL will you make the switch?

A couple of my kids from my 3rd block just said they don't want to come back after I tour them my classroom and the cafeteria...
I am wondering how many kids will be in classroom after Spring Break..

What do you mean? Kids don't come back until 3/3.

Nah. The WiFi worked fine today. I showed my kids around too. And I did put a positive spin on it! I WANT them there! What good is me being there if they all stay home??

From what I understand, very few LCPS students, at least in high school, are going back in person. There isn’t much enthusiasm for it and the classrooms themselves will not be fun environments.

This is true and it makes me sad because I want the kids there. Given how much the circumstances have changed since November with teachers being vaccinated and our numbers trending downward very significantly, I hope the board will allow more families to reselect and opt in for Q4. The more kids come, the more the kids will actually come. We know they’ll stop coming when the class sizes are 1,2,3. I would love even half to come back for the last quarter.

It varies widely by school some are 40% or even higher.

So DD now knows she has 4 (!!) teachers not coming into the building. Literally one half. And I bet every single one took the vaccine. Thanks teachers!

It's not ok to move up in the line to get the vaccine so they could go back into the schools, and then choose not to.

It's not ok to move up in the line to get the vaccine so they could go back into the schools, and then choose not to.
