Name your charter/dcps and whether they have announced plans for IPL for pk3/4

Anonymous
No debate on whether they should/shouldn't please. I'm just looking to find out which charters are currently doing IPL for pk3/4 and which have announced plans to.

For next Fall? Term 3? Term 4?

For fall 2021.

I'm not OP by the way, just another parent VERY interested in knowing which charters and dcps schools have announced plans for IPL for pk3/4.

No schools -- public, private, or charter -- have announced plans for fall 2021. And if they did, they would be subject to change.

I don't know of any, either.

If you're new to the schooling-during-a-pandemic thing, welcome to hell.

A parent mentioned in another thread their charter has been doing IPL preK3 half day since November.

She/he didn't name the school though, but apparently a few have started already with IPL / hybrid models at preK level.

Would be great to know which ones, though.

I think this is Sela.

OP. I am interested in whatever they have announced or are currently doing. So for example...

XYZ School
Starting hybrid March 1.
Announced plans for increasing capacity in Fall pending CDC distancing recommendations being eased.

Would be helpful. I've seen similar statements in other threads but not with the actual school named.

Sigh. You know this stuff is ALL available online, right?

I don't think the rising PK parents understand what it's like to work while caring for your kids and fighting with them to get them to participate in their virtual learning activities. Sorry, do your own research while your kid is in daycare. Don't ask already burdened parents to do this work for you.

OP thinks their time is more important than other people's and expects them to find the info and present it to him/her. AKA, a microagression.

And yet you find the time to come here and complain about a parent asking for info. Don't answer then if it bothers you!

Come on people, we're trying to post helpful answers here.

This is the latest announcement from Cap City: "On February 22, we will begin our learning hubs. We are starting small with 40 students to allow us to focus on safety protocols and structures, but we expect to grow this initiative and will share those plans in early March."

"On February 27, we will begin in-person outdoor activities for Lower School students on Saturdays."

They didn't clarify whether any preK students are part of the learning hubs, or give any more specifics regarding preK.
