I picked up a package thinking that it would be a change in our menu - and forgot that my husband REALLY does not like pork chops (my excuse is my brain was not working properly due to pregnancy).
Any non-pork chop suggestions to do with this? My husband loves pulled pork but I don't think I can make that from chops - or maybe someone knows a way I can. Thanks for your tips! |
| Pork chops are really lean so I don't think pulled pork is in your future. I think the best thing to do is slice them up and make a pork stir-fry with them. You can also put them in the cuisinart, mix it with ground beef, and make a moist meat loaf out of them. Last suggestion is maybe to cube them, slap them on skewers, marinate them with teriyaki sauce, and broil them. |
| I often use pork chops to make gulasch and my kids loves it. |
| Rub them with rib rub and bake in oven? |

just don't over cook them. Most people dislike pork chops because they have only had them dry and tough. Put a dry rub on them, cook them in a skillet until barely done (still pink inside), them deglaze the pan with some cider. Top with baked or sauted apples and/or squash/sweet potatoes.
It really is OK to eat them while there is still a bit of pink inside. |

Crockpot?
The crockpot ladies website has some good pork crockpot recipes that sort of change the flavor of pork. The peanutbutter pork is good (the recipe calls for using tenderloin, but I've used all kinds of pork chops instead). Peking Pork chops are also good. http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/ |
| thanks for the tips - I wound up throwing them in the food processor and mixing with ground beef to make meatloaf and meatballs. |
